Tools for careful, open science

Organic builds tools that help researchers do careful, open science, alongside hands-on conservation projects.

Atlas

In development

Atlas is Organic's first product: an AI-powered research database and network, like GitHub for science.

  • Find and analyze the literature, with every AI-written sentence linked to the passage it rests on.
  • Get rigorous but gentle feedback. Atlas catches weak spots in research without throwing out ideas that deserve to become hypotheses.
  • Work in the open. Build projects with collaborators, with credit recorded for every contribution.

Atlas is built for everyone, including independent researchers and researchers with disabilities. Researchers choose how much AI helps them, and every project shows how much AI was used.

Its first research problem is the microbiology of mushrooms: which microbes live on them, what causes disease in cultivated mushrooms, and how to keep them safe to eat.

Microbiology Atlas

Live

Microbiology Atlas helps college microbiology lab coordinators plan semester purchases, with an item planner, semester budget, review checklist, and downloadable report. It is also the first public preview of Atlas while the full database is built.

Conservation work

In development

Organic's hands-on projects put Organic Conservation into practice. Each is at an early stage.

Concept image: a Palm Huts habitat woven from living trees, not yet built.
Palm Huts
Grows wildlife habitats from living trees, turning palms into shelters or weaving young trees into a living arch, so shelters stay alive.
Leaf Paper
Makes paper responsibly from fallen leaves, using only what living trees give.
Kibbles
Makes healthy food for wildlife in specific conservation settings.
Neutral Technology
Builds tools that need little or no electricity, like a bicycle.
Solar
Moves toward energy taken directly from the sun.
